BB Curve 9380 is a revolutionary release from RIM as it is the first ever Curve Series release from this company with full touchscreen platform. It became available in the market in December 2011. Statistics show that it has got a great response from the customers after its revelation. But here most of the customers are from young generation. A lot of dislikes have also come from professionals and businessmen as this cell phone is not capable to meet the qualification of a perfect business phone.
Though BB Curve 9380 looks gorgeous and standard in appearance it failed to take the attention of professionals. The main reason is that it is missing strong keyboard, so sms, email typing and chatting becomes a little bit difficult with BB Curve 9380. Otherwise it has the basic look and features to compete with Smartphones of other companies. This machine is the more likely its cousin 9370, and it is just missing the BlackBerry’s traditional and most popular keyboard.
BB has featured this cell phone with an 800 MHz processor for faster data processing. 512 MB of RAM is enough to access applications easily. But the most frustrating thing is that BlackBerry is still now progressing in an old strategy with built in camera. A 5 megapixel camera is not a satisfactory one to capture high quality pictures. There is nothing to be excited with this camera which has got LED flash and fixed focus. BlackBerry developers are not at all tensed with its camera where other companies as like SonyEricsson have already progressed a lot with camera improvement. In the Xperia series, SonyEricsson has attached Exmor sensor to capture high definition pictures in any condition of the day including dark. BB Curve 9380 is not also Java enabled, and it is really sad news for BB fans. Let us take a look at its other features-
